About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and cross-functional contributors, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Define program goals, success metrics, and strategic alignment across multiple interconnected initiatives.
- Build and maintain integrated program roadmaps, ensuring clarity of priorities, timelines, and resource needs.
- Drive execution of complex programs, ensuring milestones are achieved and workstreams remain aligned.
- Establish and manage program governance structures, communication rhythms, and executive reporting.
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and operational constraints, and guide teams through resolution.
- Partner with senior leaders to secure resources, remove obstacles, and maintain organizational alignment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for program updates, delivering clear, actionable communication to executives and stakeholders.
- Enhance program management processes, tools, and best practices to increase organizational efficiency and predictability.
- Lead post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement across teams and functions.
- Oversee program budgets and forecasting, ensuring financial accuracy and optimal resource utilization.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence without authority to drive outcomes across technical and business teams.
Requirements
- Minimum required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of program or project management experience, including leading multi-disciplinary initiatives
- 3+ years of direct people-management experience, with demonstrated success developing teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities
- Expertise with modern project and program management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project)
- Preferred: PMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP, or comparable certifications
- Lean Six Sigma or comparable certification
- Experience in technology, SaaS, operations, or other fast-paced industries
- Background managing programs within Agile or hybrid delivery environments
- Strong influencing skills, including the ability to lead across teams and functions without formal authority
