  • Strategic Accounting Manager at a high-growth software company responsible for month-end close and financial leadership.
  • Lead monthly and annual close processes; prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition for software subscriptions and sales.
  • Manage stock-based compensation accounting and ASC 718 compliance.
  • Prepare technical accounting documentation and memos for complex areas.
  • Ensure internal controls and compliance; coordinate with external auditors.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to accounting team and senior leadership.
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to improve efficiency.
  • Manage and develop the accounting team; collaborate with Sales, Legal, HR, and Product.

Requirements

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA or equivalent certification (preferred)
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance, ideally in the software or technology sector; previous experience in the Big Four preferred
  • Expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end/quarter-end/year-end close processes
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or ERP systems) and proficiency with Excel
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards, with experience in compliance and audit processes
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex accounting issues
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving process improvements and streamlining financial operations
  • Leadership and mentorship experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively with junior staff and other departments
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Fundamental understanding of stock-based compensation plans; previous hands-on experience a plus
