About the role
- Lead the day-to-day accounting operations including GL management, A/R, A/P, and monthly close processes
- Own and execute the revenue recognition process (ASC 606 compliance), working cross-functionally with Sales and Operations teams
- Manage commission calculations and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with external auditors and support year-end audit activities
- Oversee system integrations and data flows between QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Maxio
- Provide mentorship, direction, and performance management for the core accounting team
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and other strategic finance initiatives
Requirements
- CPA required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606) and commission structures
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Salesforce, and Maxio (or similar SaaS billing/revenue platforms)
- Experience in a technology environment preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Self-starter with a process improvement mindset
