Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities accurately and timely
Maintain and reconcile prepaid asset schedules and related journal entries.
Own fixed asset accounting, including recording additions, transfers, and disposals of non-solar assets.
Review asset entries for accuracy and validate monthly depreciation expense calculations.
Prepare and maintain inter-company accounting schedules. Prepare and maintain fixed asset roll-forward schedules by legal entity.
Provide documentation and support for external audits and internal inquiries related to fixed assets and other key accounts.
Assist in the development, documentation, and ongoing refinement of SOPs for owned processes.
Conduct periodic spot audits to assess effectiveness of internal controls.
Support the preparation of monthly internal financial reports and ad-hoc analyses as needed.
Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
CPA designation preferred, but not required.
2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience in fixed asset accounting.
Strong knowledge of accrual accounting principles, GAAP compliance, and internal control standards.
Experience with Sage Intacct or other ERP systems is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Google Workspace preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated adaptability, teamwork, and a proactive mindset.
