About the role
- Lead the team to Identify and sign new clients within the Residential & Commercial sector
- Coach, develop, and mentor the Sales team, both individually and as a team
- Hire and onboard new Sales team members (in collaboration with the People team)
- Lead the Sales team to maintain rigor in CRM hygiene and pipeline management
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Marketing to evolve our approach to Commercial segments, and to reshape Omnidian’s value proposition
- Engage in rapid cross-team collaboration with Client Success, Product, Operations, and other Senior Leadership to develop expanded scopes that meet market demand
- Build industry relationships to create awareness, loyalty and enthusiasm for Omnidian’s comprehensive Performance Assurance solutions in Australia
- Provide revenue and growth forecasts, in partnership with Finance
- Collaborate with the Australian leadership team, sharing insights, engaging in productive debate and discussion, and positively challenging ourselves and each other
- Shape the future of the company through strategic quarterly and annual planning, being a conduit of the voice of the customer and the trends in the market to help influence our focus and investments
- Be a champion and steward of the Omnidian core values and culture (within and beyond the Sales and GTM teams)
- Develop relationships with our largest prospects and clients, engaging where appropriate with senior leaders in our partner companies
- Collaborate with legal, operations and product teams to negotiate contracts
Requirements
- An experienced leader within the Australian solar and/or storage industry
- Senior background in Business Development, Sales or a related discipline
- Experience leading Sales and Marketing teams
- Proven experience growing and retaining portfolios of clients (B2B)
- Strong capability in deal structuring, negotiation, and closing
- Solutions based sales mindset with disciplined pipeline management
- Experience with equipment manufacturers (i.e. OEMs) is highly regarded
