About the role
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, especially AI and ML, to generate business value.
- Create and maintain architectural blueprints, reference architectures, patterns, and standards.
- Ensure architecture supports scalability, security, interoperability, and long-term sustainability.
- Analyze current IT and business environments to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Define high-level migration strategies from current-state to future-state architectures.
- Deliver technical visualizations of proposed solutions to support stakeholder understanding and alignment.
- Model and re-architect legacy applications to reduce support costs and minimize technical debt.
- Provide architectural oversight and support throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Establish and enforce architectural principles, standards, and guidelines; ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
- Design and govern integration between internal and external applications, maintaining performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in complex IT environments, including network and systems administration, IT infrastructure, software development and application architecture, database management, security controls and monitoring, and MIS.
- Up-to-date, practical knowledge of AI and ML technologies, tools, libraries, and vendors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and large-scale projects.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience translating business goals into architectural strategies and actionable plans.

- Employment Type: W2 only. NO C2C, NO 1099. Contract Rate: $60/hr. on W2.
- Must be located in or near Davenport, IA (Hybrid role).
