About the role
- Overall responsibility for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) on the construction site
- Develop and implement the project-specific HSE strategy in line with legal requirements as well as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and customer requirements
- Manage the Permit-to-Work system as well as risk assessments and work permits
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and trainings
- Analyse accidents and near-misses and implement sustainable preventive measures
- Responsible for environmental management, including monitoring environmental requirements
- Transparent reporting to project management and stakeholders and maintaining audit-proof HSE documentation
Requirements
- Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (SiFa) or equivalent certification; ideally possessing SiGeKo (safety and health coordinator) qualification
- Recognised HSE qualification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in HSE roles within the construction or energy sector
- Experience on large construction sites and in leading HSE teams
- Experience in energy infrastructure, particularly with TSO projects, is an advantage
- Structured, assertive and solution-oriented
- Regular on-site presence
- Confident communication in German and English
