About the role
- Lead visual and experience design expression and implementation across product experience; support other designers in design decisions
- Identify gaps and opportunities in the member and care team experience and advocate for the problems to solve
- Drive the design process through definition, ideation, concept development, validation, wireframing, prototyping, and final visual design in quick iterative cycles
- Collaborate closely with product manager and partners including care team operations, user insights, engineering, and clinical partners
- Use user-centered design methodologies and tools to find and communicate ideas impacting end-to-end member and care team experience
- Craft designs that connect user needs, data, business goals, and clinical insight
- Identify opportunities to improve Omada’s processes and systems for stronger user-centered design organization
- Own and tackle some of Omada’s most complex design challenges
- Lead and mentor other designers with possibility for people management
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience turning complex problems into engaging design solutions
- At least 5 years of experience working within an “in-house” product team, owning the evolution of an existing product
- Strong conceptual thinking that balances user needs, business goals, and clinical insights
- Exceptional experience design skills
- Experience working with design systems
- Excellent communication skills that let you manage stakeholders, collaborate with partners, and articulate design decisions with ease
- Extensive experience over the design process from concept development to launch that lets you lead highly complex projects independently
- Experience leading small teams and mentoring other designers
- Bonus: Experience managing other designers
- Bonus: Designed products or experiences for healthcare and/or behavior change
- Bonus: Collaborated with Data Scientists and/or Analysts as part of the design process
