About the role
- Design and develop safety analyses and safety bases for Oklo’s reactor license applications
- Review regulatory documents and codes and develop technical strategies
- Design and execute engineering analyses, modeling, and simulation
- Collaborate with regulatory and design engineers on licensing deliverables
- Perform quantitative and qualitative safety analyses and systems-level modeling
- Manage interdisciplinary engineering projects and document technical work
- Develop analytical and computational methods and write technical reports
Requirements
- Proficiency with thermal-hydraulics analysis
- Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in a technical field, such as nuclear, mechanical, or aerospace engineering
- Experience with systems-level analysis codes such as SAS4A/SASSYS-1, SAM, RELAP, TRACE, GOTHIC, or equivalent
- Experience with reactor transient analysis methods
- Fluency with Python
- Experienced with building formal safety bases
- Able to communicate technical content and results in written form and verbally
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment
- Creative and detail-oriented
- Experience with CI/CD computing environments (bonus)
