About the role

  • Apply the TOEX operating model to gather, verify and assess all available and appropriate information to gain an accurate understanding of situations and their context.
  • Discuss and develop terms of reference with the client to agree tasking requirements.
  • Apply advanced intelligence analysis to develop operational products; briefings, develop inferences, test hypotheses and make recommendations.
  • Present the results of analysis in the most suitable format to all relevant parties, including external organisations.
  • Work with the Data Insight Analysts and Researchers to utilise new and existing analytical and research capabilities through the TOEX Operating Model.
  • Utilise the Agency & Partner Management Information System (APMIS) to assess the MoRiLE risk rating of Organised Crime Groups.
  • Liaise with internal and external contacts to facilitate appropriate information sharing and promote the integration of the TOEX operating model into the Sensitive Intelligence Network.
  • Prepare statements of evidence for court and attend court as a witness to assist in the criminal justice process.
  • Maintain awareness of national and regional priorities and trends around organised exploitation.
  • Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Experience within the discipline of Intelligence and Research, not necessarily gained within Policing.
  • Ability to apply structured analytical techniques to create products in the most timely, effective and efficient way.
  • Working knowledge of analytical, data processing and visualisation software.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and/or guidance for example; General Data Protection regulation, Information Sharing, Disclosure Data Protection Act and RIPA.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks through effective time management and assessment and prioritisation of workloads
  • Highly developed communication skills, able to quickly build positive working relationships with internal and external clients. Ability to provide professional advice and guidance; or explain complex issues to non-specialists.
  • Experience of going beyond the data – developing hypotheses, intelligence gaps and making recommendations to support decision making.
  • An ability to bring flexibility, curiosity and diverse perspectives into your work to achieve successful business outcomes
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK when required
  • Intelligence Professionalism Programme (IPP) Accreditation (Desirable)
  • Experience of working in a sensitive environment, dealing with both sensitive and personal data (Desirable)
  • Experience of working within the thematic of Exploitation, Modern Slavery, County Lines or Organised Crime Groups (Desirable).
