Join the VA Identity team to support modernization of Veteran-facing identity and access management systems for VA.gov.
Build and maintain responsive, accessible web interfaces using React, JavaScript, Node.js, and related technologies.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver user-centered solutions.
Write, test, and debug clean, maintainable code in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Support continuous integration, testing, and deployment processes in AWS.
Deliver user-centered digital services that improve authentication and access for millions of Veterans.
Requirements
Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React preferred) and building responsive, component-based UIs.
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript, including cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
Familiarity with state management tools such as Redux or similar frameworks.
Experience consuming and integrating with APIs, especially in high-security or large-scale systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage dependencies, and deliver in complex environments.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
