Security Analyst

• Partner with engineers and security SMEs to design, improve, and implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions for VA.gov products
• Analyze security metrics and access management trends to inform how the program approaches security architecture
• Develop and document requirements for IAM solutions including identity lifecycle, role management, separation of duties, and access workflows
• Build and maintain logging and monitoring solutions using Splunk, Loki, and/or AWS CloudWatch
• Develop use cases and test cases, and participate in SIT/UAT testing
• Operate as a domain expert — teams will lean on you for both functional and technical guidance on security and IAM
• Support the Security Collab Cycle, ensuring teams building products and features on VA.gov are doing so in alignment with Platform security standards and best practices

Business Analyst

• Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements from clinical and operational stakeholders
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams for engineering
• Support FHIR-based data mapping efforts, including working with clinical terminologies
• Serve as a liaison between clinical SMEs, product managers, and development teams throughout delivery
• Assist with UAT planning and execution, coordinating with clinical end users to validate system behavior
• Analyze alert performance data and identify patterns contributing to alert fatigue or low adoption
• Maintain requirements traceability matrices and documentation repositories

Analytics Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines supporting clinical and operational health datasets across the Military Health System
• Develop and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and delivery workflows using tools such as Talend, AWS Glue, or Apache Airflow
• Implement automated data quality validation, schema enforcement, and governance practices across pipelines
• Troubleshoot data processing issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration defects across environments
• Develop reusable pipeline components and automation scripts to improve scalability and maintainability
• Collaborate with platform and DevSecOps teams to integrate pipelines into CI/CD workflows and automated testing frameworks
• Support data interoperability with enterprise healthcare data standards including FHIR, HL7, and OMOP/CDM
