About the role

  • Use industry standard programming techniques to translate requirements and designs into code
  • Analyze and solve problems in existing OCLC systems
  • Code and test multiple modules of a system in a timely manner
  • Prioritize projects
  • Participate in the implementation of 3rd party solutions for projects

Requirements

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled as students at the time of the internship.
  • One year or more of college with a major/minor in Library Science, Information Science, Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree.
  • Experience with AI technologies, including practical application in projects or coursework.
  • Familiarity with principles of library science, information science, or information retrieval
  • Familiarity with library standards and systems
  • Familiarity with Java
  • Familiarity with MS Office
  • Experience with UNIX operating system
  • Familiarity with HTML, XML
  • Desired qualifications include JavaScript, relational database experience, JDBC, software configuration control experience, software development IDE experience
