About the role

  • Responsible for all accounting, finance and procurement operations of the company
  • Manage outsourced functions (auditors, payroll, 401(k) administrator, etc.)
  • Develop skills and abilities of your management team
  • Oversee the operations of the entire accounting and procurement departments
  • Ensure Finance team complies with company policies and procedures
  • Work with members to ensure they purchase their annual buy up licenses
  • Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner
  • Oversee the payroll process to ensure accurate and timely completion
  • Ensure grant related activities are properly captured, maintained, and reported
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics including staffing metrics for budgeting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or a related field is required
  • MBA Preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience required, more than 15 years preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting leadership/management experience required, more than 10 years preferred
  • Experience managing a minimum of 15 remote FTEs, management of up to 30 or more remote FTEs preferred
  • Experience implementing and maintaining financial software and payroll systems
  • Experience in healthcare/healthcare IT is a plus
  • Intermediate to Advance Excel knowledge is required
  • Extensive analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate decisions, procedures, and processes to a diverse group of people
  • Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and customer service skills
  • Strong demonstrated organization skills, with ability to understand overall program objectives and maintain attention to detail
