About the role

  • - Provide timely and effective technical support to our customer facing applications.
  • - Troubleshoot and report application issues, including bugs, performance problems, and user generated errors.
  • - Act as the first point of contact for application-related inquiries, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • - Maintain detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and user feedback.
  • - Train and assist customers in understanding application features and workflows.
  • ****Quality Assurance (QA)**
  • - Design and execute manual and/or automated test plans to ensure the quality of in-house applications.
  • - Perform functional, regression, integration, and usability testing on new features and updates.
  • - Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., DevOps, Jira, etc.).
  • - Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure resolution meets requirements.
  • - Validate that applications meet business requirements and user expectations before deployment.
  • - Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating test scripts and documentation as applications evolve.
  • - Monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • - 1+ years of experience in application support, technical support, or software quality assurance.
  • - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • - Familiarity with software testing methodologies (e.g., manual testing, regression testing).
  • - Experience with bug-tracking and ticketing systems (e.g. DevOps, Jira, ZoHo, etc).
  • - Basic understanding of software development lifecycles and processes.
  • - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • **Preferred Skills**
  • - Experience with in-house or custom-built applications.
  • - Familiarity with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman, etc).
  • - Prior experience in a similar industry: Maritime.
