• Design and produce visual communication materials for external and internal communications.
• Work with government communications and scientific/technical staff to create impactful visual communications materials that clearly communicate targeted scientific and management concepts and topics.
• Manage, store, and organize design project files/records for easy retrieval by government staff (i.e. original in design files, version control, translations, etc).
• Create and maintain a production schedule.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners as needed.
• Maintain an up to date inventory of current visual communications products on the WCR Intranet.

Visual Communications, Information System Specialist

Analyst

• Support National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Ocean Service (NOS), Office of Coast Survey (OCS)
• Provide overall support to the Coast Survey Development Laboratory (CSDL) National Bathymetric Source (NBS) team and assist in design, development, and improvements of NBS infrastructure and workflows
• Perform analytical tasks independently or as part of a team of analysts
• Prepare a variety of reports, assessments, or evaluations
• Provide mid-level subject matter expertise in cartographic or hydrographic science and GIS application as it directly relates to bathymetry, under guidance of senior staff
• Complete bathymetric source data discovery through coordination with the Marine Chart Division and the Nautical Data Branch
• Research and identify Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) hydrographic sources and their associated metadata
• Edit geopackages in QGIS with research results including the identified hydrographic sources and their associated metadata
• Manage workload to meet variable and often short deadlines and communicate complex scientific information clearly

Oceanographic and GIS Analyst II

Technical Program Manager

• Work with task leads in developing project documentation, including tracking and reporting documentation of modeling tasks and milestones, and providing guidance on the Project Lifecycle process
• Coordinate Portfolio Review and Portfolio Assessment activities: prepare review materials, coordinate meetings, document notes and action items
• Coordinate monthly activities including OCS Project Review Board and OCS/CSDL meeting preparations; review project documents and presentations; prepare materials, facilitate meetings, document decisions and track action item closure
• Coordinate Project Lifecycle and Portfolio Management process improvements
