About the role

  • Management of general ledger and accounts payable accounting for various group companies (national and international)
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
  • Independently prepare VAT returns and assist with annual tax returns
  • Perform analyses and account reconciliations; ensure accuracy of transactions; act as point of contact for general ledger processes and accounting issues
  • Optimize and standardize accounting processes (e.g., fixed asset accounting)
  • Support the accounting team and other departments

Requirements

  • Completed training as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or equivalent qualification with solid knowledge of HGB
  • Several years of experience in financial accounting within a mid-sized or international company
  • Team player with a high degree of conscientiousness and commitment
  • Quick learner with a structured, solution-oriented approach and strong attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and ideally experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / NAV
  • Fluent German and good English skills
