Use Countywide and department-specific software to manage projects effectively
Provide project leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, in compliance with governing codes, meeting the County’s policies and standards, and to the highest performance expectations
Requirements
Possess a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study and at least six (6) years of full-time experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management
OR be registered as a Professional Architect or Engineer in an appropriate Architecture discipline by the Michigan State Board of Architects or Engineers and have at least six (6) years of full-time experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management
OR possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field of study, possess a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and have at least eight (8) years of full-time experience in architecture, engineering, or construction management
Applicants with foreign transcripts must provide degree equivalency from a NACES member
Possess a valid United States motor vehicle operator's or chauffeur's license (out-of-country license holders must obtain a Michigan license before hire)
Pass the complete examination, including the employment medical, established for this classification
Successfully complete the six month probationary period
If qualifying via Professional Engineer/Architect registration, must maintain registration
If qualifying via PMP, must maintain Project Management Professional certification
