About the role
- Responsible for strategic accounts and account/business acquisition in a defined category across all channels
- Create and execute short and mid-term business strategies and performance according to the account plan
- Work with all levels of the organization and maintain relationships with global key account leaders
- Maintain consistent contact with customers and prospects to grow, maintain, and manage assigned sales categories
- Analyze and validate sales forecasts provided by customers
- Design strategies and proposals to accelerate inventory movement
- Identify projects to convert other packaging materials to glass
- Quote and negotiate prices and contracts to include company and/or industry price increases
- Communicate significant customer information working effectively with Marketing, Supply Chain, Credit, and Sales Service
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- One to Five (1-5) years of industry or comparable experience
- Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work well with the team and other departments
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills and ease of working with systems, with an emphasis on CRM platforms, Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint and SAP
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined
