About the role

  • Lead the end-to-end development and submission of grant applications, with a primary focus on NIH R01 grants
  • Independently shape grant content, including specific aims, study design, methodology, and work plans
  • Work directly with internal scientists and US-based academic and clinical partners to define and align the scientific scope
  • Assess funding opportunities and drive early-stage grant development (concept definition, feasibility, timelines)
  • Manage grant timelines, inputs, and submission processes with a high level of autonomy
  • Ensure full compliance with call requirements, formats, and review criteria
  • Coordinate responses to reviewer comments and resubmissions where applicable
  • Maintain clear, structured project communication across stakeholders

Requirements

  • PhD in medical physics, biomedical imaging, or a closely related field
  • Hands-on research experience with hyperpolarized MRI (HP MRI) is mandatory
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging and translational applications
  • Proven experience contributing to or leading NIH R01 grant applications
  • In-depth knowledge of the US research funding system, particularly NIH processes
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating closely with external partners, including advising and supporting customers in strengthening research proposals and grant submissions
  • Strong project management and excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
