About the role
- We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with a proven track record in managing data management and analytics projects. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in agile practices and a strong technical foundation in data integration, data warehousing, and visualization tools. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and client stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution : Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines for data-focused initiatives, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Agile Practices : Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, fostering an iterative, transparent, and collaborative environment.
- Team Coordination : Collaborate with internal teams (data engineers, analysts, and developers) and client stakeholders to manage expectations and deliverables.
- Risk Management : Identify, track, and mitigate risks to ensure project success and high-quality outcomes.
- Technical Oversight : Understand and provide input on data pipelines, data modeling, ETL processes, and business intelligence reporting tools.
- Stakeholder Communication : Regularly update clients and internal leadership on project status, challenges, and accomplishments.
- Process Improvement : Continuously enhance delivery practices, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of project management experience in data management, data analytics, or software development projects.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts, including data integration, data warehousing, and data visualization.
- Proficiency in agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.
- Familiarity with technical tools such as Snowflake, DBT, Power BI, or similar.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
