About the role
- Work independently on assigned tasks, setting personal deadlines to meet project timelines.
- Maintain and enhance existing ETL processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of reporting tables.
- Collaborate with senior team members to gain a comprehensive understanding of business operations and analytics requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow and integration across systems.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and cleansing processes.
- Automate ad hoc data requests to provide broader access to essential data, enhancing team efficiency and decision-making capabilities.
- Optimize data architecture and infrastructure in collaboration with IT teams.
- Leverage data engineering and analytics expertise to design effective reporting tables for use in Tableau and Power BI.
- Lead projects or project steps within broader initiatives, ensuring accountability for ongoing activities and objectives.
- Mentor and provide direction to junior analysts, fostering professional growth and development
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering
- 1+ years of experience in data analysis or operations
- Proficiency in writing SQL stored procedures and building SSIS packages
- Experience in maintaining SSMS jobs
- Strong commitment to thorough documentation practices
- Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Experience with Databricks Notebooks
- Proficiency in Python and/or Scala
- Familiarity with developing Tableau Dashboards
- Experience in building forecasting models
