About the role
- Assist the Engineering department with various duties.
- Collaborate on meaningful projects.
- Provide technical support on various key initiatives.
- Analyze data to support mine ventilation, rock mechanics, ground support testing, and report preparation.
- Work to optimize process and productivity in collaboration with maintenance, engineering and operations.
- May be involved in design work and project management.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Mine, Geological, or Environmental Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
- Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership.
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
- Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience.
- Required to undergo a background check and may be required to undergo a substance test.
- Open to current students who will be returning to their studies after the work term.
