Assist the Engineering department with various duties.
Collaborate on meaningful projects.
Provide technical support on various key initiatives.
Analyze data to support mine ventilation, rock mechanics, ground support testing, and report preparation.
Work to optimize process and productivity in collaboration with maintenance, engineering and operations.
May be involved in design work and project management.
Requirements
Must be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Mine, Geological, or Environmental Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety leadership.
Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience.
Required to undergo a background check and may be required to undergo a substance test.
Open to current students who will be returning to their studies after the work term.
