About the role
- Develop capital portfolio project reports, communications, and presentations for Senior Leadership
- Manage capital data quality for the Potash Operating Segment through collaboration with site teams
- Provide support for monthly capital portfolio reporting for the overall Potash Operating Segment and select individual portfolios
- Participate in funding applications, SRED review processes and Tax Credit submissions with Sites
- Act as a subject matter expert in capital project prioritization and support deployment of the Project Value Index (PVI) calculations for capital projects across the Potash Operating Segment
- Prepare consolidated capital budgets and assist with scenario work supporting 5 year and annual capital plan submissions
- Serve as project management software financial support liaison
- Support the Sr. Manager, Capital Portfolio Controls & Reporting in the creation and achievement of long and short-term strategic objectives
- Monitor key performance indicators to ensure success
- Engage, motivate, and inspire Site Project Teams to embrace change and support the continuous improvement of the Corporation’s capital strategies and aligned project management procedures to ensure project success
- Provide support to the Potash Administration team in preparing and reviewing Stage Gate documentation, processing funding requests, and coordinating project closure activities in alignment with Nutrien’s capital project standards
- Assist with preparing and tracking monthly metrics, identifying opportunities for improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized institution
- CPA or CMA considered an asset
- Proven track record of at least 3-5 years of related experience in Mining, Mineral Processing, or similar Industrial companies, with additional experience considered an asset
- PMP (Project Management Professional) designation is considered an asset
- Superior Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Oracle, SAP or Planisware is considered an asset
- Highly motivated with ability to lead/coach people to maintain high levels of expertise and performance
- Ability to work successfully in an environment with minimal supervision and a high degree of interaction between management, teams, and individuals
