About the role
- Provide high‑quality agronomic and technical advice to growers across the region.
- Drive product sales both in‑store and on‑farm.
- Build and maintain long‑term, trusted relationships with existing customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through superior agronomic insight and service.
- Develop a deep understanding of each client’s operation, goals and seasonal requirements.
- Share relevant technical, seasonal and market insights to improve farm productivity and sustainability.
- Stay current with latest plant production practices and agronomic innovations.
- Stay up to date with late digital tools and use them to ensure the best outcomes for your growers.
- Coordinate and participate in field days, trials and farmer meetings, positioning yourself as a local subject‑matter expert.
- Act as a go‑to agronomy advisor for cotton and broadacre inputs in the region.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a trusted advisor in an agronomy‑focused role.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Strong understanding of agronomic products, seasonal timing and grower requirements.
- Demonstrated capability in sales planning, call cycle management and customer growth.
- Excellent customer service, organisational and administrative skills.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high‑performing team.
- Experience in agronomic advisory roles relating to agricultural chemicals and fertiliser.
- Knowledge of horticultural agronomy (highly regarded, but not essential).
- A tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science (or related discipline).
- A current driver’s licence.
