About the role
- Provide support and assistance to the Rocanville Inventory team, located at the Rocanville site.
- Collaborate as an active member of the network of warehouses and inventory management groups across Potash, engaging in the critical aspects of our sustainability to manage and optimize inventory.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Potash Inventory Strategy.
- Act as a partner to Potash Rocanville Operations, Procurement/Warehouse team members, and other internal stakeholders in managing inventory data to meet company requirements.
- Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to ensure that data points are valid (min/max levels, Bill of Material, supplier, cost impact).
- Lead/support projects with analytics such as min/max analysis, obsolescence, & data cleansing.
- Optimize inventory within area of responsibility for cost, efficiency, and quality by reviewing and analyzing data and providing recommendations that align with strategy.
- Provide inventory specific support to local site-based end users in the utilization of SparesFinder (Inventory Control Requests). This includes ensuring that all data fields are accurately stated and validated by stakeholders as required by process.
- Identify any gaps in Supplier data and obtain data and route complex requests to the appropriate Nutrien resource.
- Collect and maintain data on KPIs for use in supplier or data evaluation.
- Utilize ERP, reporting tools and interpret detailed reports in daily activities.
- Share responsibility as the site expert user for all questions inventory data.
- Optimize processes, reporting, systems, and documentation by periodically reviewing and providing recommendations on areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree preferred, with focus in Business, Inventory Management or other technical disciplines.
- Experience with enterprise asset management (maintenance, procurement, inventory management), data management (e.g., Analysis & Reports) and enterprise resource planning systems and tools (SAP/Oracle) are considered assets.
- Intermediate or advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other MS Office applications.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with a variety of internal customers and external suppliers with time sensitive demands.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with comfort working cross functionally to gather information, provide solutions and recommendations.
