About the role
- Recommend appropriate Nutrien products and fertilizer products to customers
- Identify, procure and care for grower demonstration plots
- Gather, compile, analyze and interpret test results and prepare progress reports
- Design and inspect program experiment, records, notes and seasonal staff logbooks
- Ensure optimal application of seeding, fertility and pesticides
- Regularly search for new marketing opportunities
- Plan and conduct field testing of designated research material
- Interact with Division and Branch Management to convey results
- Distribute variety information and recommendations
- Attend customer information meetings as directed
- Present technical information related to seed varieties
- Assist in promotion and recommendation of Proven Seed varieties
Requirements
- Grade 12 or recognized equivalent
- Completion of Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business Certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education
- 2+ years of applied agronomy and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
