About the role

  • Manage all provider credentialing, recredentialing, and document-related data management processes
  • Collaborate with provider partners and internal customers
  • Supervise and provide guidance to assigned staff
  • Participate in hiring process, train and evaluate team member performance
  • Develop and implement systems to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines
  • Maintain open communication with practitioners
  • Continually assess and improve Credentialing team processes

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years health insurance experience with at least three years credentialing experience
  • At least three years of experience managing teams in a healthcare environment
  • High school or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery, NCQA and HIPAA
  • Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Must show initiative in approaching projects
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Databases and credentialing software programs
