About the role
- As a Cloud Platform Engineer based in our Pittsburgh Office, you will be a key contributor to the operational excellence of Nuix's SaaS delivery model.
- You will be instrumental in implementing and managing the CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge SaaS platform hosted on AWS.
- Your primary focus will be ensuring seamless deployment automation, container orchestration, and platform reliability for our global customers running Linux-based containerized workloads.
- This role requires hands-on expertise in building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, managing Kubernetes clusters, and implementing Infrastructure as Code practices.
- You will work closely with development teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle, optimize container deployments, and ensure the platform meets operational standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud engineering roles with significant focus on containerization and automation
- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) or Kubernetes certification (CKA/CKAD) preferred
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) is a plus
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog)
- Understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native application design patterns
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex deployment and infrastructure issues
- Good communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and document technical solutions
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for production support
