About the role
- Developing and maintaining the safety management systems;
- Interacting with all division teammates to ensure understanding and compliance of federal, state, and local regulations;
- developing methods to identify and remove hazards;
- supervising and developing Health and Safety personnel;
- developing, organizing and providing safety training;
- compiling, reviewing and reporting injury/illness statistics;
- conducting safety visits, audits, and observations throughout plant site;
- developing, coordinating and conducting division safety activities and initiatives.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in related field, or equivalent experience in an occupational safety or related role.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, industrial hygiene, biological science, or related field. (Preferred Qualification)
- Working experience in implementing EHS regulations, conducting incident investigations, interacting with regulatory agencies and external organizations, and managing cross functional teams. (Preferred Qualification)
- Supervisory experience with direct reports. (Preferred Qualification)
- EMT or Paramedic Certification (Preferred Qualification)
- OSHA VPP experience in an industrial setting (Preferred Qualification)
- Technical expertise in the EHS functions as well as technical writing and business communications. (Preferred Qualification)
