About the role

  • Gain a deep understanding of all aspects of our metal building systems and business model
  • Attend monthly workshops covering various topics with other DDSMs from around the country
  • Demonstrate initiative and dedication to learning by utilizing the vast number of materials to familiarize yourself with sales strategies, structural design, profitability and more
  • Spend time in each department to learn what our products are, how they are made, who makes them, and who they’re made for
  • Travel to builders, converse with, and learn from the DSMs covering sales territories
  • Commit to relocate into an assigned sales territory upon completion of the 12-month DDSM program

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Previous direct experience in a sales or customer service-related function
  • Commitment to pursue path as a District Sales Manager
  • Ability to travel regularly to attend workshops and territory shadowing
  • Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
  • Willingness to relocate to an assigned sales territory upon completion of the program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction (preferred)
  • Experience in a construction environment, metal buildings preferred (preferred)
  • Public speaking classes and/or experience (preferred)
  • Ability to interpret drawings and specifications (preferred)
  • Knowledge of competitive sales strategies, building systems proposals, construction materials and methods (preferred)
