About the role
- Gain a deep understanding of all aspects of our metal building systems and business model
- Attend monthly workshops covering various topics with other DDSMs from around the country
- Demonstrate initiative and dedication to learning by utilizing the vast number of materials to familiarize yourself with sales strategies, structural design, profitability and more
- Spend time in each department to learn what our products are, how they are made, who makes them, and who they’re made for
- Travel to builders, converse with, and learn from the DSMs covering sales territories
- Commit to relocate into an assigned sales territory upon completion of the 12-month DDSM program
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
- Previous direct experience in a sales or customer service-related function
- Commitment to pursue path as a District Sales Manager
- Ability to travel regularly to attend workshops and territory shadowing
- Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance
- Willingness to relocate to an assigned sales territory upon completion of the program
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction (preferred)
- Experience in a construction environment, metal buildings preferred (preferred)
- Public speaking classes and/or experience (preferred)
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications (preferred)
- Knowledge of competitive sales strategies, building systems proposals, construction materials and methods (preferred)
