About the role
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

- Proactively improve facility efficiency and effectiveness by driving improvement in operations and equipment reliability.
- Ability to read, interpret and understand financial statements and the ability to project the impact of decisions on the financial results of an operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline, along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a business environment required; OR 5 year’s operations, heavy industrial or manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership ability and understanding of business management concepts required.
- Effective communication skills with people at all levels of employees within the organization.
- Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
- Scrap processing industry experience a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is preferred.
- Experience interfacing with customers and providing excellent customer service.
