About the role
- Responsible for supporting and engaging production associates, ensuring that daily production goals and quality standards are met and maintained
- Inventory control management
- Directing work of others
- Assisting with performance management
- Rewarding, coaching and developing associates
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Ensure the production process and inspections meet the highest quality standards
- Support daily production operations by prioritizing, scheduling, and directing the work of assigned associates
- Continually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, performance, quality of product
- Communicate and maintain close contact with Operations Manager, Operations Supervisors, Leads and associates
- Review and schedule daily labor requirements with Operations Manager
- Prepare, analyze and submit data/reports to other departments
- Develop, empower and lead a strong, cohesive team
- Facilitate training and development opportunities for associates
- Serve as a resource for production associates
Requirements
- Work 2nd shift schedule Monday - Thursday from 3:00pm - 1:30am
- Strong manufacturing background
- Previous leadership experience
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage more than one task at a time
- Ability to read and interpret reports, work instructions and blueprints
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to develop, empower and lead a team
- Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Ability and means to travel as needed, proof of valid driver’s license, liability and property damage insurance on personal vehicle used is required.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
