About the role
- Oversee all site operations, including safety, team management, quality control, personnel training and development, equipment maintenance, and budget management
- Ensure that safety is a core value for all team members by promoting a safe work environment and safe work practices through leading by example
- Lead and manage plant staff, including training, development, and performance
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations
- Continue to foster relationships between UIG teammates, various Nucor teammates, and customers
- Oversee daily operations to meet production goals and optimize efficiency
- Manage maintenance schedules and ensure equipment reliability
- Responsible for managing the plant’s operating budget
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in industrial gas or chemical plant operations, including ASU plant supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and operational best practices
- Experience with various software systems used at an ASU
- A general understanding of and experience with instrumentation, electrical, and control systems
