About the role

  • Manage strategic development and execution of Engagement and Internal Communications initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being, ensuring clear, consistent and effective leadership and employee communications.
  • Support assessment of current employee and leadership engagement and craft strategies and initiatives to maintain and increase engagement, satisfaction, Employer Advocacy, client service excellence and sustainable business performance and growth.
  • Develop an integrated Internal Communications plan aligned to the function and organization's strategic priorities for all relevant audiences/stakeholders.
  • Guide leaders and/or other internal stakeholders regarding strategic employee engagement, tactical and change communications best practice.
  • Lead and/or implement employee and leadership-facing campaigns and champion employee and leader perspectives in execution.
  • Provide input into the overall approach to employee and leadership engagement and experience and maintain/develop tools and solutions to measure effectiveness.
  • Champion storytelling through the organizational network to bring organization strategy to life, reinforcing brand, purpose, vision, values and Employee Value Proposition.
  • Provide input into and support communication of strategic HR/People-related initiatives and processes such as onboarding, learning and development, tools and platforms.
  • Support the listening strategy with communications related to key listening moments (surveys and other) and contribute to the employee engagement and IC measurement strategy and framework.
  • Collaborate with peers in HR related areas and in the business on intersecting initiatives.
  • Promote and support initiatives related to company Recognition Schemes.
  • Lead, inspire, coach and motivate direct reports, helping them achieve career ambitions; maintain annual internal communications plan.
  • Manage global scheduling and planning process to align activities and strategic messages across audiences.
  • Draft, edit and produce relevant and engaging messages, talking points, communications and content consistent with the global narrative and brand.
  • Utilize company's mix of channels (including digital and social, internally and externally) along with live interactions to reach and engage targeted internal audiences; identify and implement new approaches, technologies and innovations as required.
  • Use metrics and insights to drive improvement in communication and engagement.
  • Champion and deliver global engagement and communication initiatives within business area(s) supported.
  • Manage resources, agencies, creative briefs and budgets.

Requirements

  • Significant understanding of strategic employee engagement and Internal Communications.
  • Significant knowledge of internal communication principles, channels, messaging strategies, tools and measurement.
  • Significantly knowledge of behavioral science and change management principles to lead communication during organizational shifts.
  • Significant knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance related to communication and employee engagement.
  • Significant ability to develop and execute short and long-term strategies that enhance employee engagement and communications in alignment with function and organizational goals.
  • Significant ability to lead teams, mentoring professionals, and influencing cross-functional collaboration.
  • Significant ability to utilize advanced data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and inform strategic decisions.
  • Significant ability to navigate sensitive situations with strategic communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Significant ability to develop innovative solutions to enhance employee engagement and communication effectiveness.
  • Significant ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to leverage advanced communication tools and platforms to drive efficiency and engagement.
  • Ability to adapt communication strategies to respect and embrace diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Ability to interpret complex metrics and data insights to measure the return on investment of engagement and communication efforts.
  • Ability to manage and execute large-scale employee engagement events and communication campaigns.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Employee Engagement / Human Resources or a related field.
  • Certifications in Coaching, Change Management, Behavioral Sciences and/or Human Resources or People practices an advantage.
  • Significant experience gained in an Employee Engagement and/or Internal Communications role.
  • Significant experience leading teams, projects, and initiatives, demonstrating strategic leadership and mentorship capabilities.
  • Significant experience leading communication efforts during major organizational changes and transformations.
  • Significant experience leading innovation in creating engaging employee experiences and impactful internal communication strategies.
  • Significant experience collaborating with executive leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for initiatives.
  • Significant experience in organisational development to include culture, engagement and experience in measuring and tracking success.
  • Significant demonstrated experience in driving transformational change and advocating employee needs in the development and deployment of change projects throughout the organization.
  • Significant demonstrated experience with employee experience aspects of digital transformation and the role of technology in boosting employee engagement, career development and performance.
  • Significant demonstrated experience across digital marketing channels, including social media and email.
  • Significant demonstrated leadership experience in the field of employee experience, engagement, internal communication, or related area.
  • Evidence of introducing innovative practices and adapting strategies to evolving trends in employee experience and internal communication.
