• Define and execute Nscale’s observability strategy across all infrastructure and services.
• Build and manage a global observability engineering team.
• Deploy, operate, and scale observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, tracing/alerting systems).
• Ensure comprehensive instrumentation across GPU clusters, networking fabrics, Kubernetes (NKS/NKS Lite), and Slurm orchestration.
• Establish and track reliability metrics (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets) to guide service health.
• Integrate observability with incident management and fleet automation.
• Drive down MTTD and MTTR through proactive monitoring and automated remediation.
• Deliver executive-level reporting on system health, capacity, and reliability trends.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in observability, AIOps, and AI workload telemetry.

Director of Observability

Analyst

• Monitor and strengthen security posture; investigate alerts and respond to incidents
• Handle day-to-day security operations, incident response, and drive improvements
• Support compliance and certification efforts (maintain evidence registers for SOC 2, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials)
• Track and document control ownership, risk assessments, asset registers, and audit readiness checklists
• Assist in preparing documentation and logs for internal and external audits
• Manage third-party risk: log vendor information in Servicely, collect/review supplier risk assessments and security questionnaires
• Assist with the management and maintenance of the Risk Register and TPRM follow-ups
• Coordinate security training campaigns (phishing simulations, Metacompliance modules) and track completion
• Support policy reviews, version control, publication, and distribution via HRIS or DMS
• Collaborate with Technology, Compliance, and Business Operations to manage tools, vendors, and embed security best practices
