About the role
- Develop the strategic direction into a strategic plan with two-year implementation strategies in coordination with coalition co-chairs and leadership.
- Establish and deliver on clear goals, objectives, and tactics as established in the strategic plan, and delivering on high-impact campaigns.
- Help identify and advance strategic partnerships with global allies, building a coalition of the willing among U.S. state and local leaders to engage internationally.
- Design and oversee a measurement and evaluation effort to ensure impact, effectiveness, and alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify gaps and opportunities to add capacity to the field.
- Hire and manage a team of approximately 10 staff with expertise spanning coalition building, international climate diplomacy, communications, campaign management, research, private-public partnerships, and events.
- Oversee all aspects of All In’s internal management and programs, including both domestic and international workstreams.
- Ensure alignment between All In’s governance and execution.
- Manage organizational relationships with consultants, contractors, and technical assistance providers.
- Cultivate and maintain a positive staff culture and model collaboration.
- Lead the development of an external engagement strategy that positions All In as the authoritative voice of U.S. subnational climate leadership.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of relevant experience is required
- Significant experience working directly with mayors, governors, or other elected leaders
- A passion for advancing climate solutions
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management, strategic planning, and decision-making skills
- Experience building, leading, and working within coalitions
- An alignment builder with a demonstrated capacity for finding consensus across disparate perspectives
- Experience working in state and/or local government is strongly preferred.
- Stakeholder and partner outreach and engagement experience
- Public speaking and on-the-record experience.
- Strong financial and operational acumen, including budget oversight, 501c3 compliance, grantmaking, and cross-functional management.
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Experience working internationally is preferred, not required.
- Experience using CRMs for information management and reporting is preferred, not required.
