About the role
- Ensuring Medical Affairs ambition, strategy, and tactics for the cardiometabolic therapeutic area align with short- and long-term BA WEST and corporate strategy
- Providing indirect medical leadership in BA WEST by offering strategic medical guidance and fostering strong medical networks
- Representing BA WEST in relevant regional and global teams, and external activities such as advisory boards and scientific associations
- Driving cross-functional collaboration and alignment of Medical Affairs activities with the overall strategic direction
- Leading external medical engagements with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other stakeholders to strengthen Novo Nordisk’s presence in the cardiometabolic therapeutic area
- Defining and executing on the scientific communication and publication strategy, including input to clinical trials, RWE plans, and patient-centered activities
Requirements
- Strong clinical and/or research background in relevant fields with interest in advanced scientific analysis and communication
- Minimum 5 years of experience from pharmaceutical industry with substantial medical affairs experience
- Experienced project leader
- Experience with working in an international, matrix environment
- Experience with engaging in high-level scientific discussions with high profile internal and external audiences
- Strong understanding of drug development principles and good understanding of regulatory environment for approval of new drugs.
