About the role
- Lead scientific oversight of Phase IIIb/IV trials and complex non-interventional studies across global medical affairs
- Develop study concepts, protocols, and reports; guide analysis, interpretation, and publication of results
- Drive integrated evidence planning to support product strategy and demonstrate medicine value
- Engage with global stakeholders including KOLs, advisory boards, and patient advocacy groups
- Represent Novartis in steering committees and external research collaborations
- Champion innovative methodologies and technologies to advance evidence generation practices
- Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives including process improvements, training, and SOP development
- Collaborate across functions and borders to drive integrated evidence planning and execution
Requirements
- Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare (MBA or equivalent preferred)
- Solid experience in pharma, academic research, or healthcare with evidence generation focus
- Expertise in interventional and non-interventional trial design
- Expertise in real-world evidence (RWE) methodologies
- Strong understanding of global regulatory and access environments and drug development processes
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver impactful evidence strategies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience engaging with KOLs, advisory boards, and patient advocacy groups
- Experience representing company in steering committees and external research collaborations
