Drive and contribute to Novartis’ strategy and execution of initiatives focused on non-clinical barriers within RLT and RLI implementation for pipeline and approved products
Execute large scale, broad strategic initiatives that enable RLT and RLI within different treatment archetypes and ecosystems
Frame, drive alignment, define, and lead multiple workstreams focused on removing barriers limiting appropriate patients from being treated with RLT
Report to the Head of RLT Enablement medical team to execute platform enablement medical strategy aligned with Medical Strategy Teams (MST)
Work closely with US and global cross functional teams for execution
Demonstrate expert competencies in implementing education strategies/projects to support platform and disease education needs at large scale
Build partnerships with Medical and General Management/Commercial and US and Global colleagues
Collaborate with MST and Integrated Product Strategy Team (IPST) and provide input into strategies and lead execution of projects supporting platform level initiatives during launch planning and post launch
Educate colleagues and health care professionals outside the company to support platform strategy
Explore, plan, and implement innovative communications solutions including digital channels to address strategic and scientific gaps
Support development of a strong medical engagement plan incorporating diverse Medical functions and capabilities
Foster relationships with National, Regional and Local Medical Experts, including Investigators; support Medical Expert Engagement Strategy
Plan, execute, and support advisory boards and work closely with Field Medical on insight-gathering initiatives
Develop positive and effective relationships with Global colleagues and cross functional teams
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ in pharmaceutical, biotech, or Radioligand therapy or imaging
Previous experience leading larger-scale business planning processes, to include development and implementation of such plans, goals and metrics
Minimum 5+ years of experience working in product strategy/ medical communication agencies or any other relevant Medical Affairs roles in the US biotech or pharmaceutical industry or medical education agencies or academic institution/clinical practice
Knowledge of Oncology Therapeutic Area preferred
Demonstrated experience in interacting with HCPs/researchers at academic centers within US
Direct Clinical research experience within operational space or understanding of the conduct and needs to build trial networks
Understanding of clinical trial operations and experience driving patient recruitment solutions and educational tools
Strong track record of positive, productive interactions and ability to build trusting working relationships with Medical Experts and Investigators
Established relationships with US Medical Experts and US Professional Societies in Therapeutic Area is strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience in successful planning and leading external meetings
Demonstrated track record of managing cross functional projects, and ability to effectively interact and work collaboratively with multiple cross functional teams
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management and presentation skills
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and comfort with complexity
US experience preferred
Advanced degree in scientific/medical/health discipline required (Master’s degree preferred)
