About the role
- Work closely with the Project Manager and assume overall responsibility for planning and management of project construction activities
- Work closely with the Project Engineering Manager and engineering teams to ensure documentation and drawings are issued in line with subcontractor and fabrication needs
- Participate in engineering reviews to ensure fabrication-friendly and cost-efficient designs
- Interface with Supply Chain regarding bidding processes, purchase order awards, and variation order requests
- Ensure robust plans for modules and components, and expediting when delays occur
- Maintain close coordination with fabrication site teams to ensure timely progress, assembly, testing and completion of modules and equipment
- Follow up Package Responsible Engineers (PREs) to ensure timely delivery of materials and components to vendors or customers
- Promote and adopt safe working practices across all work sites
- Maintain continuous focus on vendor quality, including nonconformity reporting when required
- Assist with customer witness and hold point notifications and attend customer and vendor meetings as needed
- Ensure timely completion of vendor final documentation
- Conduct and document lessons learned
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience from project coordination and delivery of modules and services to the offshore industry
- Strong technical competence within:
- Structural fabrication
- Piping fabrication
- Mechanical fabrication
- Integration and interface management
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is an advantage, but relevant experience and competence may compensate for formal education
- Outgoing, structured, and self-driven working style
- Strong coordination and communication skills with ability to motivate others
- Ability to manage multiple interfaces in a complex project environment
- Fluent Norwegian, both written and spoken, is required
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (business language)
