About the role

  • Consistently identify, prospect, qualify, and develop sales pipeline through outreach strategies and SDR collaboration.
  • Manage a book of business with existing customers; renew and identify expansion opportunities within install base.
  • Build and nurture effective relationships; guide prospects through software acquisition cycle from discovery through Proof-of-Concept and contract negotiation to close.
  • Create proposals addressing customer needs to inspire ScyllaDB Enterprise and ScyllaDB Cloud adoption.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date forecast and funnel and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quota.
  • Demonstrate hunter mentality and open new doors via phone calls, emails, social networking, and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to conduct seminars, trade shows, and other marketing-related events.
  • Communicate and collaborate with VP of Sales and Customer Success to ensure adoption, retention, and expansion of ScyllaDB.

Requirements

  • Has sold NoSQL database technology to IT with Infrastructure teams.
  • Knowledge of Open Source and cloud technologies is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience selling B2B enterprise technology.
  • Language - Fluency in Portuguese required; professional proficiency in Spanish preferred.
  • Preferred location - Miami.
  • Has existing IT/Enterprise Architecture/Business Rolodex/relationships in the patch they currently reside and sell to.
  • Goal-oriented, with a track record of overachievement (President’s Club, Rep of the Quarter/Year, etc.).
  • Driven, possessing a strong desire to grow and learn as a key contributor in a Series C startup.
  • Experienced with complex sales methodologies, ideally MEDDPICC.
  • Open to feedback and coaching.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills and attention to detail; experience documenting in Salesforce crm.
  • Intelligent, having an aptitude to learn quickly to establish credibility and creatively apply the ScyllaDB solution.
  • Is a team player and understands collaboration.
  • Is not afraid to knock down doors and knows pipeline generation is paramount to over-achievement and success.
