About the role
- Build and maintain relationships with global regulators, supervisory authorities, and industry associations to educate them on Travel Rule infrastructure and stablecoin payment implementation realities.
- Draft position papers and consultation responses across a broad range of digital asset regulatory topics.
- Represent Notabene in industry working groups, regulatory meetings, panels, conferences, and policy forums.
- Develop proactive strategies that shape Notabene’s policy stance on Travel Rule, AML/CTF, stablecoins, and payments.
- Monitor global regulatory developments related to Travel Rule, stablecoins and cross-border payments, and turn them into actionable internal guidance and strategy.
- Produce high-quality blogs, regulatory briefs, and jurisdictional explainers in collaboration with marketing and product teams.
- Identify and support strategic speaking and writing opportunities for Notabene’s executives.
- Conduct in-depth legislative and regulatory research aligned with Notabene’s strategic priorities across digital assets, AML/CTF, Travel Rule, and stablecoin payments.
- Contribute to public discourse around Travel Rule operationalization and compliant stablecoin payments.
- Brief internal executive audiences on the impact of new or proposed policies/rules on and within our product and practices.
- Update and expand Notabene’s Travel Rule Certification Program and ensure alignment with evolving regulatory standards.
- Serve as the regulatory subject matter expert for enterprise accounts during complex pre- and post-sales engagements.
- Support regulatory-aligned market expansion initiatives, including leading go-to-market efforts in priority jurisdictions in collaboration with key market stakeholders.
- Develop regulatory enablement materials for GTM teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in public policy, regulatory affairs, financial services compliance, or government relations.
- Deep knowledge of AML/CTF frameworks, including FATF standards and their implementation across jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated experience engaging directly with regulators and policymakers.
- Strong understanding of global digital asset regulation, including Travel Rule requirements and emerging regulatory frameworks stablecoins and digital asset payments.
- Proven ability to translate complex regulatory developments into practical, business-aligned guidance.
- Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills.
- Experience within a fintech, digital asset, payments, or regtech company.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and commercial teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, with a strong ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes amid evolving priorities
