About the role

  • Own the technical direction and delivery of Inventory at Nory, ensuring data integrity across orders, invoices, stock counts, recipes, waste, and suppliers.
  • Raise the reliability bar by leading initiatives like audit trails and immutable data patterns.
  • Improve the accuracy of COGS and stock valuation.
  • Reduce manual effort through automation.
  • Lay the foundations for explainable AI.
  • Partner closely with Product, Data, Design, and Customer teams.
  • Lead and coach a squad of engineers.

Requirements

  • Significant experience building and operating production systems.
  • Deep strength in either backend or frontend and the ability to work effectively across the stack.
  • Proven experience working in cross-functional product squads (Engineering, Product, Design, Data).
  • Designing and evolving systems that stand up over time.
  • Strong product instincts and ability to connect engineering work directly to customer and business outcomes.
  • Delivery ownership and ability to remove blockers while keeping work moving.
  • Coaching engineers, giving clear feedback, and helping individuals grow.
