About the role
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with the firm’s mission, vision, culture and strategic objectives.
- Craft clear, compelling messages for firm-wide announcements, executive communications and internal campaigns.
- Serve as a senior communications advisor to executives, supporting speeches, talking points, leadership presentations and internal thought leadership.
- Develop and maintain a crisis communications framework, ensuring timely, accurate and coordinated messaging during critical incidents.
- Oversee internal communication channels and content, including the intranet and digital signage, ensuring consistency and relevance across platforms.
- Own and manage the internal editorial calendar, balancing strategic priorities with timely business needs.
- Define success metrics for internal communications initiatives; analyze engagement data and employee feedback and translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Partner with People & Development to align internal and external communications with the firm’s talent, engagement and diversity priorities.
- Ensure all internal communications adhere to legal, brand and editorial standards.
- Collaborate on campaigns supporting DEI initiatives and employee recognition programs.
- Provide communications coaching and training to leaders and subject matter experts to strengthen internal messaging effectiveness.
- Stay current with internal communications trends and best practices, introducing innovative approaches where appropriate.
- Oversee translation processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging across languages.
- Liaise with the global internal communications team to align messaging, timing and channel strategy, ensuring consistent and coordinated firm-wide
Requirements
- Relevant degree in communications, or related field
- A minimum of 15+ years of experience in corporate communications, preferably in the professional services industry
- Extensive experience in external communications, with a solid understanding of public relations principles
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic communications plans that drive business objectives and enhance organizational reputation
- Proven ability to craft compelling content and manage high-stakes executive and market interactions
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with media, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset
- Excellent project management skills; organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this role.
