Design, develop, and test a variety of aircraft parts, considering natural laws affecting flight
Establish structural specifications, perform stress analysis, and conduct performance tests
Participate in development and review of models, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
Carry out repairs and coordinate with a team of multi-discipline engineers to determine effective solutions to defects
Analyze, research, and develop structural engineering analysis packages involving metals or composite structural materials for product design or operation
Work as part of Northrop Grumman's Vehicle Engineering group developing manned and unmanned aircraft platforms
Requirements
Be completing or has completed a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by August 2026 (Associate Engineer T01)
Be completing or has completed a Master’s degree by August 2026 OR completed Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years aeronautical engineering (or similar) experience by August 2026 (Engineer T02)
Majoring in or have majored in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar STEM degree
Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Be able to obtain and maintain Program Special access (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Final approved U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special Access may be required to start
Preferred: overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher
Preferred: Previous internship/co-op or other work experience
Preferred: leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
Travel: Yes, 10% of the time
