About the role
- Design, development, integration, configuration and test of a real-time, hardware in the loop (HITL), Data Acquisition Systems (DAS)
- Design, development, verification and acceptance testing of data builds and real time Mission Control Room configuration files using Symvionics IADS software
- Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or software areas
- Work shift work, overtime, and travel (10% travel)
- Expectation of work performed in Palmdale and EAFB, with the ability to work any of the 7/20 shifts (4/10 Days, 4/10 nights, 3/10 days, 3/10 nights)
- Collaborate as part of the Systems Integration, Test, and Evaluation (SIT&E) team
- Verification and acceptance testing of data builds and Mission Control Room configuration files
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 2 years of experience in engineering OR Master of Science in a STEM discipline with 0 years experience
- Basic understanding of troubleshooting systems to identify and assist in the correct the root cause
- Experience with Microsoft Window Family, AutoCAD, and/or MATLAB
- Familiarity with fundamental principles of Symvionics IADS software and/or working in a Mission Control Room
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher (background investigation completed within last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period
- Ability to work various shifts depending on business need
- Preferred: Electronics, Analog and Digital Communications, Digital Signal Processes, Computer Communication Networks, Embedded Systems
- Preferred: Experience working in Flight Test or Lab Test environments
- Preferred: Experience using oscilloscopes and waveform generators
- Preferred: Experience working with Strain Gages, Accelerometers, Pressure Transducers and other commonly used instrumentation sensors
- Preferred: Active Program Access
- Preferred: Basic knowledge of data bus architecture MIL-STD-1553, IEE-1394, ARINC-429, RS232 an RS422
- Preferred: Experience using Symvionics IADS software and working in a Mission Control Room
- Preferred: Experience post-test processing data from a IRIG-106 CH10 recording
- Preferred: Experience using TTCWare Application Software
- Preferred: Experience working Curtiss-Wright TTC Data Acquisitions Systems
