Support customer with design, development, testing and certification of aircraft control systems used to stabilise, guide and automate aircraft movement
Assist to develop software and algorithms to support flight control systems development
Define auto-throttle and wave-off logic
Define Flight Control System (FCS) software integration and sensors for dynamic glidepath tracking
Create control laws and algorithms
Use MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architect, MATLAB and Simulink
Perform requirements management, verification and validation
Author test scripts and run/manage tests
Debug systems, write reports and prepare certification documentation
Collaborate cross-functionally and promote attention to detail, communication and teamwork
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Proven experience in systems engineering, preferably within the defence or aerospace industry
Ideally registered with INCOSE
Eligibility for security clearance (dependent on project requirements)
Significant experience working with flight control systems
Demonstrable experience in requirements management, MBSE, and system modelling languages (e.g., SysML)
Experience with MBSE tools such as Enterprise Architect, MATLAB and Simulink
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
Experience across the 'V' lifecycle processes and methodologies (design, requirements, verification, validation, testing)
Experience authoring documentation and preparing certification documentation
Skills in authoring test scripts, running and managing tests, debugging and report writing
