About the role
- Support the Sentinel program located in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL
- Team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope and support leadership planning
- Design and develop software systems, software requirements, and tests
- Integrate software and systems across multiple engineering specialties, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and suppliers
- Lead technical tasks as technical lead, ensuring schedule, cost, and requirements are met
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML modeling techniques
- Develop verification plans and participate in system buildup and verification for flight tests
- Work in Agile, cross-functional Scrum teams and use Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Maintain DoD Secret clearance and obtain Special Program Access (SAP) as required
- Travel approximately 10% for program needs
Requirements
- 2 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 0 Years with Masters or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
- US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Ability to team plan, execute, and manage the technical scope, and support leadership planning.
- Current understanding of software engineering best practices
- Experience in software engineering, system design, software requirements, and test
- Experience with Agile and working in a cross-functional Scrum team
- Experience integrating multiple engineering specialties and stakeholders across multiple Integrated Product Teams and Suppliers
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
- Experience leading the performance of technical tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as technical lead
- Detailed knowledge of the Command and Launch system and mission objectives (preferred)
- SysML Model Builder Fundamental Certification (preferred)
- Experience with verification planning and system buildup for Flight Tests (preferred)
- Experience using Model Based Product Line Engineering Concepts (preferred)
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence (preferred)
- Experience performing Safety Critical Functional Thread Analysis (SCFTA) (preferred)
- Ability to establish a Software Requirements Peer Review Process and verification plans that include identification of all artifacts required for peer review (preferred)
