About the role
- Act as main technical lead within the DE SEIT (Sentinel Staff Digital Ecosystem Segment Lead Systems Engineer).
- Work with other Lead Systems Engineers, the Chief Engineer, and product teams to drive engineering execution and evolve model-based engineering (MBSE) practices.
- Solve complex technical problems and develop talent across teams.
- Collaborate within and across product teams to drive successful product definition and sell-off.
- Engage customers and senior leadership to solicit requirements and inform on the technical solution.
- Serve as delegate to the DE SEIT Manager and represent DE SEIT for DERB and other senior fora.
- Manage and lead technical teams and coordinate across internal and external stakeholder organizations.
- Support program lifecycle activities including technical decision-making, program adoption of digital engineering concepts, and sustainment considerations.
- Travel approximately 25% as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related experience, or a Masters’ Degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years, current and within scope.
- Must have an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time.
- 3 years of systems engineering experience throughout the program lifecycle.
- 3 years of demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with proven collaboration and coordination skills across internal and external stakeholder organizations.
- 1 years of experience with conflict management and negotiation skills.
- 3 years of demonstrated ability to make tough decisions.
- 3 years of demonstration excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) across all levels of the organization and strong partnership/collaboration skills.
- 3 years of experience managing technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience in MBSE – both performing and leading teams (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in program adoption of digital engineering concepts, methods, and processes (preferred).
- Experience with Project Lifecycle Management, manufacturing, sustainment (preferred).
- Experience with cloud-based environments, high performance computing, and virtualized environments (preferred).
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
